Chris Cornell - Cornell Sets Release Date For New Album

CHRIS CORNELL has correct the release date for his forthcoming solo album SCREAM.

According to The Pulse of Radio, the former SOUNDGARDEN and AUDIOSLAVE frontman will tone ending the record on October 14th.

The new album has been produced by the mush-sought after urban producer TIMBALAND ? which has raised a few eyebrows among fans of Cornell's earlier work.

"A destiny of people were implicated about, like, am I gonna do what, for example, Timbaland tells me to do, if he wants to tell me to do something, that kind of thing," he said

"We didn't really have that relationship, it wasn't that type of a work on. It was more, he would land in a beat, an idea, I would spell to it and sing it, and we would move on kind of to the next thing."

TIMBALAND is non usually associated with rock artists, having previously produced albums for the likes of MADONNA, JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and ASHLEE SIMPSON.

Dizzee Rascal sticking with new sound

Dizzee Rascal has confirmed that he will proceed to button pop music following the success of his in vogue single 'Dance Wiv Me'.

The R&B star spent 4 weeks at the top of the UK singles chart in July with the lead, which was a quislingism with music producer Calvin Harris.

Rascal has revealed that he plans to bond with his new sound, despite claims from some critics that he has "sold out" by shifty to a more commercially-friendly style.

"From now on, I think I'm always sledding to make a pop up record. It makes sentience," Dizzee told the Daily Record. "I'm in the business of selling records. There's no point in fronting to myself that I need to be this to a fault obscure artist.

"The resistance thought I'd sold out as presently as I got a record parcel out. But I'm not underground and I'm not trying to be underground ever again. I did that on my first album. I came right from the bottom and the only way is up. I will do what needs to be done."

300 Monks Designs Music for Starburst and Johnson & Johnson

Audio agency translates marketing into designed soundtracks

NEW YORK, July 1 -- 300 Monks recently designed music and
sound for Mars' Starburst website launching in July. Working with ad agency
Digitas, the project called for a "golden age of Hollywood" look and feel.
Group Creative Director Billy Seabrook says, "Having worked with Head Monk
Andrew Ingkavet back at FCBi, I was confident that he would understand the
concept and sound direction and deliver quality work on time and within a
tight budget." Sound design featured the ambience of a large theater with
curtains opening, film projectors starting up and theater ropes dropping.
"It was a rewarding creative experience," says Senior Content Integration
Producer Eoin McGrath. "Against the back-drop of a limited budget and a
break-neck production schedule, I got the impression Andrew and his team
have the talent and the resourcefulness to turn their attention to any
sound/music design project, no matter what the theme, the brand or the
application."

Another recent 300 Monks project was a reality television show aimed at
doctors. Produced by DraftFCB and sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, the show
gave doctors a chance to "live in the skin" of their patients through the
use of a special effects artist. 300 Monks started a creative discussion
with tracks from their extensive library. The Head Monk explains,
"Conversations about emotion can be very tricky as it is so abstract. We've
developed a game of 20 questions to triangulate the exact corner of the
musical universe."

Initial music in the vein of smooth jazz, adult contemporary and Latin
pop were deemed "too conventional" and discarded. In the end, the team
opted for an alt rock sound for which 300 Monks provided multiple demo
tracks to choose from. "Live In My Skin" will start airing this summer on
the Physicians Television Network. "The advantage of working with 300
Monks," says Associate Creative Director Jeff Yates, "is you have a wide
range of composers with different specialties to choose from which makes
for great speed and efficiency."

About 300 Monks

300 Monks was founded by former agency Creative Director Andrew
Ingkavet, who also has over 2 decades experience as a composer for film and
theater. As Ingkavet began adding custom music as an added bonus for his
advertising clients, he found it was almost always immediately accepted.
Says Ingkavet, "Audio is so powerfully linked to the emotional centers of
the brain. It's like a direct line to your consumer. Having worked on both
sides as Advertising Creative and Music Designer, I know exactly what is
needed and how to get it from our global roster of talent. Designed
Music(TM) is just that -- it is structured to convey an exact emotion/story
and live within the brand promise."

Sarah Michelle Gellar is Still Alice

Despite recent rumours that Sarah Michelle Gellar has been dumped in favour of 'Lost's' Maggie Grace (Kate), the former Buffy star insists she's still the front runner to play Alice in the movie adaptation of American McGee's computer game.
Talking to America's Radio Free, Gellar said: "It's a passion project of mine. It's a story that I'd love to see. I'm fearful at this rate that I'm going to be the Queen of Hearts because I'm going to be too old to be Alice."
That being the case Dakota Fanning may well be in line to play the part in a more family friendly version of the film.
Sarah Michelle added that 'Alice' "...is something I'd really like to see done. And unfortunately, it was the victim of regime change in the studio. And I'm not getting out. And contrary to what you may have read, it's still my project."
Given the writer's strike, there's no news yet on when the film will go into production.

Paul McCartney said it was an "amazing" achievement and John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono called it the "beginning of a new age".

The song will be aimed at the North Star, Polaris, 431 light years away from Earth, and it will travel across the universe at a speed of 186,000 miles per second.
In a message to the space agency, McCartney said: "Amazing! Well done, NASA! Send my love to the aliens. All the best, Paul."
Yoko Ono added: "I see that this as the beginning of the new age in which we will communicate with billions of planets across the universe."
Fans have been invited to participate in the event by playing the song around the world at midnight GMT on Monday night - the same time it will be transmitted by NASA.
The event will also mark 50 years of NASA, 45 years of the Deep Space Network and 50 years since the founding of Explorer 1, the first US satellite.
The Deep Space Network is an international network of antennas that supports missions to explore the universe.

Jagger assassination plot revealed

Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger survived an assassination attempt because a boat carrying his would-be killers was caught in a storm, according to a new documentary.
'The FBI at 100', a new BBC Radio 4 documentary, has revealed that members of the Hells Angels gang planned to assassinate Jagger nearly 40 years ago.
Tom Mangold, who presents the series, told the Sunday Telegraph newspaper that Jagger fell out with the Hells Angels after a member of the gang killed a fan during the band's infamous free concert at Altamont in 1969.
During the concert, for which the group had hired the local chapter to provide security, the gang terrorised the crowd and were reportedly offended by Jagger's effeminate dancing.
Later 18-year-old fan Meredith Hunter was stabbed to death in front of the stage. A Hells Angel was tried for Hunter's murder but claimed self-defence and was acquitted.
According to the documentary, the Hells Angels felt they had been duped by Jagger as fingers were pointed in the aftermath of the concert.
Former special agent Mark Young said in the documentary that a boatload of Hells Angels set out to take revenge on Jagger at his holiday home in the Hamptons, near New York City about 40 years ago.
Presenter Mangold told the Sunday Telegraph: "The Hells Angels were so angered by Jagger's treatment of them that they decided to kill him."
"They planned the attack from the sea so they could enter his property from the garden and avoid security at the front."
"The boat was hit by a storm and all of the men were thrown overboard. All survived and there was not said to have been any further attempt on Jagger's life."
